Participant | What we did well? | What we can improve? |
---|---|---|
Brian | We were successful in the creative part and coming up with novel approaches. | We need a Larger View instead of single situation by situation. We should incoporate planning. The kids need opportunity to think about incorporating strategy to handle future events. |
Meaghan | We evolved our ideas and it became more fun for kids especially as we did more. | We should create 'character cards' - one for each minor character. MH volunteers to create the first pass, other adults will help refine this. Scenario Cards - these will have the settings (MH will work on these) |
Dee | I thought very good start on something that probably was very complex to begin with. | Maybe need more 'fixed' settings and character roles to help focus game. Story however is #1 it overrides teaching Object Oriented Programming which is #2. We should try to move some or most of didactics (informational testing out into the centers when possible) - this will need coordination with Dana, Terry and Robert. |
Katherine | Great possibility for creativity and immersion. | Parameter Space of stories is currently too big (we need opportunity to restrict). Create plot lines with slower burn. We would like more ability to focus plots. |
Kids | 2 of the 4 said the game was their favorite part of AKERA that day | No critical comments by kids on this date. |
